On March 13, 2025, the webinar titled "Trade Unions Against the Far Right: Is a Progressive Women's Rights Agenda Still Possible Today?" will take place, organized by CGIL on behalf of the International Anti-Fascist Trade Union Network.
The event, which will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (CET) exclusively in English, will feature distinguished international speakers actively engaged in defending women's rights and combating the far right.
Webinar speakers:
Parisa Nazarim, Intercultural mediator and Iranian activist; Maureen Odour, Head of Sexual and Reproductive Rights and Ending Violence Against Girls and Women for the Pan-African Feminist Network, FENMET;
Paola Panzeri, Vice President of the Women's Committee of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC); Yamile Socolovsky, National Secretary for Gender and Diversity at the Argentine Workers' Central Union (CTA-T).
The webinar will be moderated by Todd Brogan, ITUC Director Campaigns and Organizing.
During the event, a video message will be broadcast from Bonnie Castillo, Vice President of the ITUC Women's Committee and Executive Director of National Nurses United (USA).
