CGIL Congress concluded its proceedings on March 18. The Congress delegates (986 in total, 50% men and 50% women) elected the General Assembly, the steering body of the Cgil composed of 279 trade union representatives and union officers (53.8% of them are women).The General Assembly re-elected Maurizio Landini, General Secretary of the Confederation, with 243 votes in favour (94.2%) and 15 against (5.8%).Congress voted the Congress statement (as amended by the standing orders committee), the final Congress declaration and some urgent resolutions.
