At the press conference held on 17 May 2024, CGIL presented its membership report for the year 2023: CGIL has 5,149,885 members.
The number of workers increased by 1.44%, i.e. 2,682,805. Workers under 35 increased by 21,225, amounting to a total of 413,689 (+5.41%).
Workers with a migration background significantly increased to a total of 486,392 (+17.74%).
